Today I’m in an exceptionally good mood. Why do you ask? Because finally my local Dunkin Donuts is officially re-opened. It’s like reuniting with an old friend after a long absence.
it amazes me what a staple Dunkin Donuts has evolved and has intertwined into the Boston culture. Apparently, I’m not the only one who feels this way, so does comedian Jim Gaffigan.
Some people like to argue that Dunkin’ has fewer drink options than Starbucks. But with their 11 free flavor options, four dairy options (and counting), seasonal beverages, smoothies, and teas, there’s always an equivalent to be found. Even if you’re more of a fan of the dessert drinks than coffee, Dunkin’ can always provide you with something above and beyond all those Starbucks options. Drop the ridiculous Frappuccino and get yourself a Coolatta, stat.
Let’s be real, you only made Starbucks your go-to because there’s practically one on every street downtown Boston Street corner
