Corona may be surging again, but the virus certainly hasn’t obliterated the downtown Boston real estate home market. Despite limitations on showing property (limited or no open houses or broker tours!) and many people reportedly fleeing downtown Boston for more far-flung locations, our Boston condo market, although down, remains strong and healthy over the past six weeks. How long this will last is hard to tell. One thing is certain if we don’t find a vaccine it’s dark days ahead.
I read an article about how real estate has gone virtual. But the last three sales in November that Ford Realty had been all in person. Unless things go really south I don’t see how virtual tours will eliminate in-person showings, perhaps for Boston apartment rentals, but not for downtown Boston condo sales.
