Jeff’s Florida house had windows with hurricane-proof glass. The roof was built to withstand even the strongest storm surge. Jeff, the owner, wanted to be safe and comfortable. He fought with his brother, a Boston Beacon Hill condo for sale broker, who had a vacation home nearby, he wanted him to update his home, but he never updated his old weathered house.

Then Hellen, a terrible hurricane hit with torrential rain and damaging winds. The Boston Beacon Hill brokers vacation house lost most of its shingles and windows. Bob’s windows and roof were just fine.

The day after the storm, the Beacon Hill broker, repaired his roof and windows, Jeff’s stormproof house fell into a sinkhole. The Boston Beacon Hill broker was thankful to God that his outdated vacation house was built on bedrock.
