The 93 Expressway was jammed – He tried to exit, but was stuck between a sports car and a tuck and the next exit was three miles ahead. All he could do was wait as the traffic inched along. He’d gone a total of two tenths of a mile in the last twenty minutes. At that rate he thought it would take an hour just to get to the next exit.

He was supposed to be a Back Bay condo for sale showing in 45 min. and he still was stuck in traffic. Damn, he thought as he put the car in “park” and waited for the next time the traffic moved. He was even tempted to shut off the engine and save the gas.

Finally, and suddenly, everyone started moving again. He inched further along and then he saw what the problem had been – a horse was trotting down Rt. 93. Of course everyone had to look the horse, which made the whole mess even worse, but that didn’t seem to matter to anyone. As he passed the the galloping horse the traffic returned to a normal speed

In that moment, he thought how will his Back Bay condo clients react to why he was late. Will their eyes widen in disbelief. Then he remembered – This is Boston – no one would be surprised.
