The Seaport broker and his wife Anne arrived at Trader Joe’s for their weekly grocery shopping.

“Croissants?” Bob the Boston Seaport broker asked, eying a package.

“Let’s keep to fruits and vegetables,” Anne said. “Remember our diet plan.”

“I guess wine is of the question then?” he said, holding up a bottle with pleading eyes.

Anne shook her head. “Put it back.”

Back home in their Seaport condo, watching Netflix, Anne ripped the packaging off a luxury box of chocolates.

“Hey, wait a minute,” Bob said. “What about our diet”

Anne looked like she’d taken offence. Pushing two chocolates into her mouth, she said, “Everyone’s allowed the occasional treat, aren’t they?”
