Jennifer sighed as she kicked the Beacon Hill apartment door shut, placed the grocery bags on the kitchen counter. She poured herself a glass of wine and gazed at her brick fireplace.
She’d remembered how she found the Beacon Hill apartment on the Ford Realty Inc., website. She clutched her iPhone, flinching as she remembered the argument with Tom. Jennifer was sure it was her fault, she’d been flirting with her neighbor at the Seven’s pub.
Jennifer wandered to the bedroom, she needed a lie down to shake off last nights memories. Upon entering the bedroom door she kicked off her shoes, the double bed was neatly made, with the pillows all fluffed up and not a single crease in the bedspread.
Striding over to the bed she messed up all the covers, threw the pillows on the floor. She lay on the bed, pulling the covers around her when she was startled by a wallet falling to the ground.
