Her new Back Bay condo purchase on Marlborough Street
In my mind, I knew I was a strong, independent woman. What helped seal the deal was my most recent purchase of a Back Bay condo, the most gorgeous living space I’d ever lived thus far. It was at once spacious, with a roomy living room and tall windows, but still housed an intimate breakfast nook that I imagined a cozy table and chairs, sipping an extra hot expresso with a lover, after a romantic evening at home.
I daydreamed about outfitting my new condo with furniture and decor as I peddled pleasurably down Marlborough Street in Boston Back Bay, a historic venue and stone’s throw away from my new digs. The black lantern-like street lamps, brick laid sidewalks and exquisite architecture took my breath away. Feeling shy, I’d glance a little too long into someone’s living room, a shimmery chandelier cascading rainbow prisms onto an ornate Van Gogh or Matisse painting. Drinking in the glamor and luxury, I’d peddle on, making a mental note for my own decorating adventure. I’d just spied a beautiful antique mirror in a local store a mile away. Framed in gold, it reminded me of Marlborough Street classic, timeless beauty. I steered my bike in the direction of town to make the purchase, feeling creative and good and strong, happy to be alive in Boston.
