Congratulations to Community Servings which reached its $4 million capital campaign fundraising goal, earlier this week.
[Community Servings] provides free home-delivered meals throughout eastern Massachusetts to people homebound with acute life-threatening illnesses; it recently moved into new headquarters in Jamaica Plain.
The new 13,500-square-foot industrial kitchen facility will allow Community Servings to increase the number of meals delivered from 1,300 to 2,600 per day. Clients are often critically ill with HIV, breast cancer, MS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and other cancers.
