The Warren Group released year-to-date sales data for each of Boston’s neighborhoods.
Unfortunately, they only report single-family sales, not condos.
A sampling of results:
Allston – sales volume dropped 25% compared to 2006, median price up 1.8%.
Brighton – sales volume dropped 2.9% compared to 2006, median price down 0.3%.
Dorchester – sales volume dropped 7% compared to 2006, median price down 10%.
East Boston – sales volume dropped 10% compared to 2006, median price down 12.9%.
Roxbury – sales volume increased 11.1% compared to 2006, median price down 12.3%.
Are all those sales in Roxbury foreclosures?
And, the worst city in Suffolk County:
Chelsea – sales volume dropped 56.3% compared to 2006, median price down 21.7%.
