I watch the circular waves expand across Horn Pond surface. When the geese reach the bank, they splash up, leaving a mark, evidence of their existence even after they have gone.
Splash! A smile at a stranger. Ripple: she smiles back, then later holds open the entrance door to a Beacon Hill condo building for a woman burdened with a squirming child and overflowing shopping bags. She is grateful for the kindness.
Splash! I found a Beacon Hill renter an apartment. Ripple, she smiles and calls her husband with the good news.
