Boston condo broker: A day without noticing anything
Do you ever feel like you’ve gone through the day without noticing anything? Somehow, the day began, and you did what you needed to do during the day, but you didn’t notice what was happening.
One of the problems we have in our daily lives is being distracted. Being distracted often leads us to become multitaskers. When we identify ourselves as multitaskers, we really mean that we will try and do multiple things simultaneously without concentrating on any one of them. There are a few tasks that we can carry out that are in this category. These might include, watching TV, eating, taking a shower … essentially what we do on autopilot. They are committed to some automated memory that is the robot within us. However, that’s not what I’m talking about here. Multitasking is often a result of just continuous distraction. The e-mail, voice mail, text message, the knock on the door. All of these things cause us to stop doing what we’re doing and to leave our attention of the present, to follow something else. It is in an intensive noticing or awareness of what is going on in the present that we really meet the others in our lives, and God’s presence in our lives.
Why not spend a few days being intentional about noticing; add savoring those daily activities in your life. You may be surprised at the results. Noticing Today I am going to notice What’s going on Just for an untimed moment, To linger, dangle in the present, Not reflecting, just considering, Savoring the existing, Not moving on, Judging, Or reacting, But rather Letting it dissolve In my mouth, Without expectations of reward,
After you’ve done that, you’ll learn how to solely concentrate on specific tasks such as buying a Boston condo or searching for a Beacon Hill apartment for rent.
