Beacon Hill condo brokers farewell to an old tree
Beacon Hill condo brokers farewell to an old tree
My old, artificial Christmas tree was in rough shape by the time I retired it today. Several years have passed since I bought the tree at a Target store for my Boston Beacon Hill condo.
Over the years, I hauled the tree from a Back Bay apartment, to South Boston condo, and to several other downtown Boston locations. By the time it made to my Winchester home, layers of duct tape held the Christmas tree box together. When I pulled it out of the box my little tree looked run down with bent branches and lights that have been burned out as it knew its days were numbered.
This year with a new home I decided to retire to retire my dear old tree. Rather than feeling sad, I used this moment to launch a new tradition to buy a real Christmas tree at Mahoney’s Garden Center.
So raise your glasses high, a toast to you and your family’s Christmas traditions.
