Beacon Hill broker cleaning up the real estate office
This might be my only Boston real estate blog post for the day. The reason, I’m cleaning up my office as I plan to move to a new location.
One other item I must accomplish today, obtain a change of mailing address card.
Here’s a thought
Why is the word, “mail” even in email?
One is digital, fiber optic, hyper-speed network.
The other is dazed and confused, with mailmen that look like members of a distant branch of the Cub Scouts,
bumbling around downtown Boston in embarrassing shorts and shirts with a meaningless patch.
The lucky ones, are driving 4 miles an hour, 20 feet at a time on the wrong side of a mentally-challenged Jeep.
Has anyone questioned if this business model that started in 1775 in America works anymore in the 21st C?
Every 3 to 5 years. they always have this emotional financial meltdown.
Looks like we’re going to have to go up a penny on the stamps!!
I’m like. “Dude, relax. We don’t even know how much a stamp is anyway.
44, 53, 62 cents. Just make it a buck. You’re going to get there anyway.
If it ends up you have some money left over, buy some pants and a real car.”
I would say to the post office.
“If you really wanted to be helpful to us,
Just open the letter
Read them.
AND EMAIL US WHAT IT SAYS.
We’ll give you a penny for each one you do.
Since a penny seems to be a lot of money in your world.”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
To my mailman Sean, you did a great job for the last 10 years, keep up the good work.
Peace be with you.
