The Beacon Hill condo broker has never been to an auction before, but he was having fun.

The Beacon Hill broker placed a few practice bids on random items, just to get a feel for things, in readiness for the suitcase he’d had his eye on right from the start.

Just a suitcase, one of a number of lost luggage at the airport, and despite the stories of people finding all sorts of expensive surprises in them, he had a sneaky suspicion the auction house went through them beforehand.

The condo broker just wanted the suitcase: perfect for his next Christmas trip to N.Y. on Amtrak
