Beacon Hill apartment renters emotions

Jane looked out her Beacon Hill apartment window and felt sorry for herself on this sunny cloud free February morning. Her husband had recently packed up his bags and left their apartment, to make matters worse she started smoking again. She locked her Beacon Hill apartment door and headed to work. To top her day, she just missed the Red Line T and a cold wind blew through to her soul.

Then she saw Valerie.

“How are you, dear?” Jane inquired.

“I’m heading to Downtown Crossing. Next week I’m going to visit my son in NYC.”

Valerie was ninety and blind but her hair and general appearance were immaculate.

Jane felt ashamed of her self-pity, put out her cigarette and decided to walk to work with a new positive attuited.
