They finally unpacked all the boxes in their new Boston Beacon Hill apartment. David opened the window to let in that Fall New England breeze.

David picked up his guitar, sat down and rested the instrument on his thigh. “What do you want me to play? he said to Martha, his girfriend.

She sat next to him. “Play our song.” Harvey closed his eyes, took a deep breath and began to play. He smiled, feeling his fingers dancing nimbly, deftly, over the strings. When he finished playing, he opened his eyes and looked at her. “Did you like it?”

“Yes.” Martha reached for his hands and began massaging his stiff and misshapen arthritic fingers. “Your music is still beautiful,” she said softly. I’m so happy to be with you, and I love this Beacon Hill apartment. Thank you for convincing me to leave the burbs and move to Beacon Hill.
