Beacon Hill agents internet dating story

After hearing this story from Nick, one of my Beacon Hill condo sale agents, I’m so glad I’m not in the dating scene.

Nick met Rene’ through an internet dating site. She was very attractive, and they had interests in common, so they arranged to meet in a restaurant they both knew on Charles Street in Beacon Hill.

He told me in person she was attractive, intelligent, and witty. Unfortunately there was a snag: her laugh sounded like fingernails down a blackboard. He then told me, “I may sound shallow, but for me it was a deal-breaker.”

“So how did the date end?” I asked.

At the end of the meal she said, ‘Look, this isn’t going to work.’

‘Oh.’ Nick said.

‘I don’t think you have a sense of humor, Nick. You never laugh when I do.’
