A story about helping a New Yorker finding a Boston apartment
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of working with a young professional looking for a Boston apartment for March 1, 2022.
Prior to her driving up from New York, I sent her apartment listings via email that she requested information on. Most of the units she requested to view were in Boston’s North End. My clients initial thought was she would like the north end because of all the restaurants on Hanover Street the main street that cuts through the north end.
Boston’s North End Apartments
After viewing a few apartments in the North End, I could sense she was a little disappointed. Her main concern was that most of the Boston’s North End apartments were walk-ups (no elevator) and most lacked any laundry in the unit or in the building.
Charles River Park Apartments – Boston’s West End
After departing the north end we drove to Boston’s West End and viewed apartments at Charles River Park. My client was impressed on the newly renovated building with laundry in the building, she liked the idea of the concierge and the added security it provided.
Her main concern was that it was too far of a walk to the location of her new job. Thus, we went to the next location on her list. Boston’s Midtown area.
Boston Midtown Apartments
Our finally destination was Boston’s Midtown. My client loved this location, she liked that it was a few minute walk to her job. She also like the idea that it was near Boston’ Downtown Crossing with all its shops like Macy’s and the plethora of restaurants and the lively activity on the street. Also finding her an apartment with views of the Boston Common was also a plus.
