Yesterday I was invited to play golf at the private Winchester Country Club. A rare treat for me.
Around the ninth hole, the skies opened up and it began to rain.
We all raced to our golf carts and headed to the country club locker room to dry off.
While in the locker room, a mobile phone rings.
“Yes I can talk,” I answered the call, “You’re shopping, are you? That’s nice.”
The listening real estate brokers smile at each other.
“You want to order those new carpets? for the house renovations, Okay… And they’ll include the curtains for an extra five thousand?… Sure, why not?”
More smiles among my real estate broker friends
“And you want to give the builder the go-ahead for the new renovations of both bathrooms? Thirty-thousand if we say yes today? Sounds fair.. sure, that’s fine.”
My friends exchange glances of amazement.
“Okay sugar, see you later. Yes, I love you too,”, ending the call.
I look at my Boston real estate broker friends while holding back my laughter, I said: “By the way, whose cell phone is this?”
