Boston Condos for Sale and Apartments for Rent
A Boston condo broker’s awkward social situation
After a Beacon Hill apartment showing, I decided to meet some friends at a Seaport restaurant. I was sitting at the bar waiting for my friends, when a woman in her late 30s or early 40s walked in and smiled at me. I couldn’t place her, but she did look familiar.
I’m active socially – I thought maybe I knew her from one of the groups I’ve joined, or perhaps around Charles St. in Beacon Hill. It was eating at me, so I caught her eye and walked over to her and said, “I think I know you. Maybe from a social organization we belong to?”
Smiling, she leaned over and whispered, “I’m the mayor.”
