On the heels of the city’s approval of plans to redevelop the lot across the street from the Ruggles subway station, comes this news.
A developer has submitted plans to the Boston Redevelopment Authority to redevelop land near the Jackson Square subway station.
… the $90 million first phase will include utility work and construction of four buildings: 225 Centre St., a six-story building with 103 rental units over ground-floor retail spaces; a 30,500-square-foot Youth and Family Center; a relocated Department of Youth Services facility near Marcella Park; and 1562 Columbus Ave., 39 condominiums for low- and moderate- income owners, over ground-floor retailers …
Eventually the project will expand to include up to 14 buildings, over 11 acres, with an estimated cost of $250 million.
Construction is scheduled to commence in the Fall, 2008, and be completed sometime in 2013.
