The Boston Courant is reporting that the Hotel Alexandra missed its deadline for the signing of a purchase and sale contract.
The current owner was required to have signed a purchase and sale contract by October 15th, but financing on the part of the buyer fell through, according to the Courant.
The Boston Housing Court has scheduled a hearing for Friday, October 27th, to discuss the matter.
Attempts to redevelop the Hotel Alexandra have been ongoing for at least the last ten years.
It seemed as though the end was in sight, once the city got involved, last year.
I guess it’s not to be.
