I noticed in this week’s Boston Homes the following information.
The duBarry, a conversion of apartments into four luxury condominium homes, is completed, and all units have closed. The property is located at the corner of Dartmouth and Newbury Streets, in the Back Bay.
Three units, over 2000 square feet each, sold for around $1,800,000.
The fourth unit, the top floor unit, sold for about the same amount, $1,800,000, but it’s only 1400 square feet.
The penthouse unit has a 500 square foot private deck, though.
What do you think? Is 500 square feet of outdoor space enough to make up for a loss of 700 square feet of interior space?
For me, no.
