Boston Seaport condo broker preparing for the Boston marathon

“I’ll be fine, Martha,” stated the Seaport broker, “Even though I’m 62, I’m fit as a fiddle. A little rotund in the middle, but I’m loosing weight.”

Martha wasn’t so sure. John, the broker, just finished a package of Orio Cookies, perhaps not ideal preparation for the Boston Marathon, and he’d only done two pathetic practice runs.

One of them, while jogging up a hill, on a cold windy day, the Seaport broker was struggling and then a woman who must have been in her seventies passed him while  jogging with her dog, John, panted even more, trying to catch his breath.

John stared up at a bright light. It was not the sun.

​”You’ve had a heart attack John,” announced the doctor.
