We all were able to get our first real jobs, two friends and I. At last we had enough, and the Ford Realty Beacon Hill agent showed us round the dark apartment. It was in Beacon Hill, and needed some work, but to us it was a palace, with a small kitchen, worn out hardwood floors, shower room and three bedrooms. Three!

The Beacon Hill apartment owner accepted our applications and the apartment was ours. Or it would be once we’re fully moved in.

We’re out of our parents home, moved into our own Beacon Hill apartment and went for a drink at the Sevens Pub. Just the one — we now had pay apartment rent. We’re adults now, no more binge drinking.

I can’t wait to show my mom our first apartment as professional employee for a large financial firm
