Beacon Hill Broker – ‘How’s your Dad?’
Beacon Hill sales agent – ‘Oh, I’m really angry with him! He’s gone to the pub for a beer to watch the Patriots game.’
Broker – ‘Is that so bad?’
Sales agent – ‘Well, you know the doctor said his time is limited. They’ve done all they can with surgery and chemo; they don’t know how long but…’
Broker – ‘What would you rather he did? Sit at home, wrapped in cotton wool and drinking green smoothies?’
Agent – ‘No, but…’
Broker – ‘He’d be miserable. And he’d only be existing. Perhaps it’s better to live; doing what he enjoys will make him happier, and maybe even healthier.’
Agent ‘You’re right! Let’s go join him.’
