Beacon Hill resident under the bridge
Today, I’d like to take a break on discussing Beacon Hill apartments for rent. Instead address the serious problem of the homeless and more importantly addiction that’s inflicting Boston’s society.
I’m not going to provide you with addiction stats and such, but I’d like to tell you this true story that I named;
The Beacon Hill resident under the bridge.
With a warm friendly smile, he watched as tourists passed by.
No one noticed.
Eyes pleading “Help, I’m in pain,” as people rushed to work.
No one noticed.
Sitting under the Redline train bridge, feeling abandoned.
No one noticed.
Quiet sighs, and whispered prayers for strength to keep going. But,
No one noticed.
Wiping tears from his face under the Beacon Hill Bridge.
No one noticed.
Slumping shoulders, listening to the Red line passing thru Beacon Hill
No one noticed.
The light has finally left his eyes as the Beacon Hill residents walk by.
No one noticed.
His spirit withers; he never laughs anymore as he takes his last slug of whisky.
No one noticed.
He gives up – his life ends… then, one Beacon Hill condo owner,
Noticed.
His name was Charlie, a decorated Marine he fought for you, but sadly no one fought for him
