First Day of Summer – Great Time to Buy a Boston Condo
Today marks the first day of summer. For part of my life, we lived in houses that did not have air conditioning. I am not suggesting we go back to that, but we sometimes forget the simple things we can do to keep your Boston condo more comfortable. Here are a few of my favorites:
Close the shades, blinds, or curtains, to keep the sun and some of the heat out.
Use ceiling fans or regular fans as needed to move some air. They make it feel cooler in your Beacon Hil condoI with or without the AC running.
Run the dishwasher at night.
Avoid using the oven while the air conditioner is on. Use a microwave, toaster oven, outdoor grill, electric frying pan, crock pot, instant pot, etc. I also occasionally use a small electric conduction hot plate.
I keep the house warmer during the day and cooler at night after the sun goes down so that we can sleep.
Thoughts to ponder on from a Beacon Hill broker
Happy Solstice. Here in the bold north, we will have 15 hours, 37 minutes, and 2 seconds of daylight. The days will start getting shorter starting tomorrow.

Happy solstice! Weather forecasts for this summer include words like “sizzling”.The Farmers’ Almanac is calling for above-average temperatures toward the end of June and into the middle of August. Predictions also say that we will have rain.
