Yesterday the sunset was at about 4:30 PM. I often wondered what our early primitive ancestors thought as the days got shorter and shorter. They probably thought the good times were over and the world was ending, kind of like some Boston Beacon Hill real estate agents I know.
Sometimes Beacon Hill condo sellers feel the same way this time of year as activity on their home slows way down. Downtown Boston real estate sales in general slow down this time of year. There isn’t much danger of someone wanting to tour a home after a major snow storm in a pandemic but it could happen. Actually, I hope it doesn’t happen because I’m working from home today, and I’m very comfortable.
I have heard all sorts of theories as to why a Beacon Hill condo isn’t getting offers or much attention as the days continue to get shorter. The theories are based on fear and superstition. The days will start to get longer again in less than a month and home buyers will get serious again in a couple after the holidays, well at least by the Super bowl.

Right now the number of Beacon Hill homes on the market is decreasing but they’ll comeback. So Beacon Hill buyers in a few weeks you’ll have more options.
Don’t give into fear and superstition. The days will get longer and home buyers will be making offers again. Well, at least I hope they will
