Several towns in the Greater Boston-area are handling the real estate slowdown quite well.
As I mentioned in an entry a couple weeks ago, Wakefield is one of these.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts appears to be weathering the economic slowdown pretty well, all things considered.
According to the state Department of Revenue, in August:
* Corporate tax withholding was down 28%, compared to last year;
• Withholding collections were up more than 10 percent;
• Income tax collections for August were up 10 percent;

The Globe had a great article in yesterday’s paper about converting your home from oil to gas heat.
