Welcome!

My name is John A Keith. I am a real estate broker in Boston. Along with my team of agents, I help buyers and sellers of homes throughout Boston, including the South End, Back Bay, and Beacon Hill neighborhoods.

If you are thinking of buying or selling a condominium in Boston, please contact me to learn ways in which I can help.

There is a lot of useful information on my site, starting with the blog entries in the middle column. I update my site three or four times a day, so check back often.

On my site, you can search through all of the listings in the local Multiple Listing Service (MLSPIN) . If you wish to receive daily emails of new listings as they come on the market, sign-up today.

You can review news by topic, by clicking on any one of the "tags" or "categories". You can also review news in the archive, sorted by month. See details in the right-hand column.

If you are thinking of moving to Boston and want to learn more about each neighborhood and search through listings by neighborhood, choose a neighborhood from the table of contents, in the right-hand column.

Also, you can click through on links for more information of value to buyers and sellers.

If you click on the "new projects" link you can learn about all the new developments under construction and recently completed, throughout the city of Boston.

Please contact me for more information or to learn about how I can assist you as a buyer's agent or with selling your home.

If you would like to learn more about me, please read these articles and columns.

Boston Center for the Arts Plaza design chosen; gigantic movie tower to NOT be built

UPDATE
I received a voicemail from someone on Tuesday after this thread began and after I posted the developer’s renderings on my blog. He seemed frantic that people were talking about the “movie theater” as if it was going to actually happen.
I just got off the phone with him; he’s the Director of [...]

Breaking: Stephanie’s to open in South End

Well, “breaking” in the sense that it was rumored at least four months ago …
Overheard at the coffee shop today is the rumor that Back Bay hot-spot Stephanie’s will be opening in the South End, on Tremont Street, on the site of the Eagle recently-closed Garden of Eden.

The Best of Boston (*)

The Improper Bostonian is out with its “Boston’s Best” issue.
The South End did really well, when it came to “Best Food & Drink”. At least 18 of the 78 choices were from this neighborhood, which some call the best in America.
Which is even more impressive given that at least 26 of the 78 selections [...]

Rhys Gallery property hits the market: $1.4 million

A couple weeks ago, the Rhys Gallery closed. The owner was quoted as saying, “In Los Angeles, you have collectors flying in to look at the art scene there … [t]hat doesn’t happen in Boston.”
The gallery space is now for sale. It is located at the corners of Harrison Avenue and East Berkeley [...]

Know your history - Boston’s South End

Considering a move to Boston? Do you know a lot about its history?
If not, I suggest you make your way to the library. Or, to Amazon.com.
Boston’s “busing crisis” unfolded during the mid-1970’s, following on the heals of tumultuous civil rights fights and race riots (none in Boston) of the mid-to-late 1960’s and [...]
