Thinking of buying a Boston condo? Here’s some good news, Boston is ranked one of the best places to live in U.S.
Boston came in behind Honolulu and Washington, D.C. in a ranking of the most livable cities in the US.
The Economist magazine, put out the ranking, which included a worldwide list topped by Melbourne in Australia.
Melbourne was considered the “most livable urban centre” for the seventh year in a row. Vienna, Vancouver and Toronto followed on the worldwide list.
Boston ranked at No. 34 out of 140 cities surveyed and No. 3 out of the US cities.
Among US cities, Chicago, Miami and Pittsburgh came in behind Boston.
The Economist Intelligence Unit said in its report there’s apparently a correlation among the cities at the top:
“Those that score best tend to be mid-sized cities in wealthier countries with a relatively low population density.”
