The past 12 months haven’t been all that much fun for me, probably not for you either. This pandemic thing and having to stay home so much is getting played out. Every major holiday since Memorial Day has been a super spreader event. As people have gotten together for celebrations and have gone to bars and restaurants, err… I may be guilty of this as well
It was hard to skip the traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations with family and friends especially since both my parents are up there in age. We usually celebrate both indoors with food and adult beverages too.
Super Bowl Sunday is this weekend. It isn’t a holiday (well for me it is) and the best way to celebrate is to watch the super bowl. It is easy to stay home and watch the game on TV but experts are predicting that people will gather together and yell and scream and eat and drink.
The Super Bowl will be our next super spreader event with old and new variants of the virus being sprayed around at super bowl parties just waiting for people to breathe them in.
I would ask people to stay home and watch the game alone or with their family but I know that there are many people who are not able to make that kind of a sacrifice. It would also be ridiculous to ask people to wear masks at said super bowl gathering. Instead, I am asking that people who attend super bowl gatherings stay home after the game and until February 21.
