U.S. Housing Market

The bad news from the Associated Press “New home sales tumbled in August to the slowest pace in 17 years, while the average sales price fell by the largest amount on record, demonstrating the depth of the problem that Washington is trying to solve.”

The good news: Boston proper condo sales prices still remain strong according to MLS data.

Here is a link to a wall street journal article talking about $2M-$10M properties taking a hit in NY and the northeast.

They say $20M+ are fine (obviously those are the filthy rich who are never really impacted). Anyway, it’s an interesting article. I would imagine Boston might suffer in the $1M+ range soon too…
