Breaking: Battery Wharf project signs new hotel
Battery Wharf is a multi-use project on Boston Harbor, in Boston’s Waterfront neighborhood. It includes residences, a hotel, and a spa, among other amenities.
The hotel was supposed to be managed by Regent, but they pulled out, earlier this year.
The Globe is reporting that a replacement has been found.
A premier global hotel chain, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, has signed on to manage a 150-room hotel at the Battery Wharf development on Boston’s waterfront, delivering a critical boost to the $300 million project following the departure of a previous hotel operator.
Fairmont is well-known for managing the Fairmont Copley Plaza, as well as other signature properties in San Francisco and New York City.
Opening of the hotel is planned by the end of this year.
