700 Harrison: hot South End development

700 harrison

The Herald reviews the new 700 Harrison development, located in the South End.

The area has seen a lot of new development - nearby, ArtBlock and The Penmark condo projects are completed, and there is rental housing available, in the St James Court building. The Boston Medical Center is within walking distance (as is the new BioLab!), and rumors of Whole Foods opening down the street have filled the ethernet.

Sprogis & Neale is marketing the units. There is an open house on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

The new 84-unit condo mixed-income complex at 700 Harrison Ave. in the South End has joined the Art Block and Penmark projects in remaking an area of the neighborhood adjacent to the Boston Medical Center campus.

Like other new complexes in the area, 700 Harrison’s exterior combines the vernacular brick of the South End with more modern amenities, such as a metal awning and projecting bays along with floor-to-ceiling windows and up to 9-foot ceilings. The stylish interior lobby boasts bright-red Plexiglas hangings and angled black granite benches.

There are 18 market-rate units with high-end amenities still available, with prices ranging from $549,000 for a two-bedroom, one-bath to a 1,279-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bath top-floor unit with great city views for $679,000.

More description and photos, on the Herald’s website.
