Putting your listing into MLS? Here’s where else it will show up

So, if you are thinking of selling your home, and you decide to use a real estate agent to sell your home (which you should), here’s something you may not know.

If your agent is a member of our local Multiple Listing Service, MLSPIN, then, when he or she enters the listing into the database, it will also appear in all of these publications and periodicals.

It’s not an automatic procedure - your agent has to sign-up for each feed, through the MLS interface.

What I didn’t know was that MLSPIN was know creating a feed for Google Base.

That’s a big deal. Google Base is huge, and having listings on Google Base increases your exposure, immensely.

Oh, good time to remind you - I am happy to work with for-sale-by-owner sellers. If you want to sell your home on your own, without an agent (um, why?), you can still have your listing put into MLS. It will show up the same as any other listing in MLS, and all inquiries from buyers’ agents will be directed to you.

For this, I charge a flat $275 fee.

Contact me for more information.

Here’s where your listing will appear:

Boston.com and Telegram.com

Boston Courant

Boston Magazine

DailyHomeowner.com

Eagle Tribune (www.renorth.com)

Google Base

Homefind.com

Homes.com

Homes and Land

To add to your list MLS listings also go to Realtor.com and if I’m not

mistaken, I believe they also appear on Yahoo Real Estate.

Welcome

Welcome!

My name is John A Keith. I am a real estate broker in Boston. Along with my team of agents, I help buyers and sellers of homes throughout Boston, including the South End, Back Bay, and Beacon Hill neighborhoods.

There is a lot of useful information on my site, starting with the blog entries, in the left-hand column. I update my site three or four times a day, so check back, often.

On my site, you can search through all of the listings in MLS. Complete details on the listings, including addresses and Google maps, are available if you sign-up (no obligation inferred / implied).

You can review news by topic, by clicking on any one of the "tags" or "categories". You can also review news in the archive, by month. See details, below.

If you are thinking of moving to Boston and want to learn more about each neighborhood and search through listings by neighborhood, choose a neighborhood from the table of contents, below.

Also, you can click through on links to more information of value to buyers and sellers.

And, if you click on the "new projects" link you can learn about all the new developments under construction and recently completed, throughout the city of Boston.

Please contact me for more information or to learn about how I can assist you as a buyer's agent or with selling your home.

If you would like to learn more about me, please read these articles and columns.
