You can review news by topic, by clicking on any one of the "tags" or "categories". You can also review news in the archive, sorted by month. See details in the right-hand column.

If you are thinking of moving to Boston and want to learn more about each neighborhood and search through listings by neighborhood, choose a neighborhood from the table of contents, in the right-hand column.

Also, you can click through on links for more information of value to buyers and sellers.

If you click on the "new projects" link you can learn about all the new developments under construction and recently completed, throughout the city of Boston.

Noise: it’s the number one issue you should be concerned with

I’m not a cranky person. I only get annoyed at things that are annoying.

Should I pay off my mortgage faster, or invest my money elsewhere

Suppose your mortgage loan payment is low enough, and you’re rich enough, that you have some extra cash on hand, every month?
Should you make extra payments on your loan? Or, should you invest that money, somewhere else?
Some people think you should pay off your mortgage loan as quickly as possible, the idea being, build [...]

Boston sales data - sellers lowering prices, but is it enough?

I was curious as to what the average seller is doing, in the city.
My guess was that sellers were being stubborn, that they weren’t lowering their prices. I assumed this was a big reason why buyers were pulling back.
I based this on the FACT that the number of sales has dropped 20-25%, while average [...]
