Live At City Green

Twenty-one units will be built in the new City Green development, on Green Street, in Jamaica Plain.

From the developer’s website:

City Green is an intimate community in Jamaica Plain, where the world is at your doorstep - and steps away from your door.

Celebrating that elusive sense of balance we all seek; CityGreen is where a busy work life and a relaxing home environment come together. It’s about festive nights on the town and lazy, sunny mornings. And it’s about living in the moment yet investing wisely for the future.

Whether you’re a city dweller or a nature lover, CityGreen combines a 12 minute commute to downtown Boston with 1200 acres of parks, paths and greenspace at your doorstep.

And, more:

Simply Elegant…Everything you need and nothing you don’t.

CityGreen’s turn of the century exterior echoes the architecture of its historic neighbors - but inside is a sleek sophistication that would turn any Victorians’ head. European-inspired kitchens are highlighted by dramatic open floor plans. French Doors and sun-drenched balconies usher in summer breezes. Advanced building technologies & use of sustainable materials means an environmentally-friendly Energy Star home that will save you an average 30% on those utility bills compared to standard new construction.

CityGreen is offering only 21 contemporary homes in its historic setting; each one unique & distinctive. Built with integrity by an acclaimed builder known for meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail, this is no ordinary new construction. Value-added elements are everywhere – in the finishes you’ll touch every day, and behind the walls where no one’s looking.

One, two, and three-bedroom units will be available, from the high $200s to the low $500s.

    Another

missed opportunity to do good architecture in Boston. I live around the corner from this and it is

a great site, at the subway stop, mucho parkland, good neighborhood, police station 1 block

    away.
Yet the developers chose to construct another faux victorian on steroids when they could

have built something truely interesting. Why is it that boston developers and architects are so

timid,,,, I would have loved to see a really good modern building here instead of this bloated

fake victorian monstrosity. Something minimalist with lots of steel and glass.
    On the other hand

it is better than the abandoned building and vacant parking lot that used to occupy that spot.
