Community group looks to open retirement home for local gay men and lesbians
Stonewall Communities is close to announcing an agreement to purchase the property at 9 Miner Street, in the Audubon Circle neighborhood, near Kenmore Square, according to a story by Daniel Friedman in the Boston Courant (article not online, unfortunately).
According to the Stonewall Communities website, the not-for-profit’s goal is to create “a residential community located in central Boston which will provide 75 to 100 one-and-two bedroom, fully-equipped apartments with a range of health and convenience services designed for older gay men and lesbians and their friends over 55 years old.”
