New construction in Boston, MA
I read about three new developments under construction in Boston. First, there is the new Greenway Place development, overlooking the Rose Kennedy Parkway. Very weak name, although I realize, of course, why they named it that. Second, a new development on Newbury Street, called, The Dubarry. Suspiciously, the artist’s drawings don’t show the big mural that currently exists on the side of the building. Very disturbing!
Third, I was over at the ground breaking for the YooD4 development, in the old District 4 police headquarters building, in the South End. A very nice presentation, with remarks from the mayor and developers, followed by free-flowing drinks and remarks from Philipe Stark, himself. Unfortunately, the designer’s remarks were drowned out by rude members of the crowd. Later, we checked out the model unit. Very nice design, very interesting development, very good location.
