Weekly Boston Real Estate Sales and Listings Update, May 27, 2005
Below is a report of sales and listing activity for the past week.

New listings: 107
Back on market (listings that went under agreement but deals fell through): 14
Price changes (almost always downward, but some go up): 93
Under agreements: 149
Off market (variety of reasons, but sometimes these are old listings that never sell): 47
My opinion: End of spring market. New listings fall, precipitously. Could be partially due to it being the week before a holiday, but I think it’s because most people who planned on selling this spring…have put their homes on the market, already (I realize that is almost a redundant sentence). Under agreements stayed constant, compared to last week, meaning we could be seeing a gradual decrease in available properties, over the coming weeks.
Bottom line: If you haven’t bought yet in the hopes that something good is going to come along…now’s the time.
